I really think so too! I brought it up once in the community chat about how we should be expecting more creativity from him to unlock right defencesand people were shooting it down saying that's not his game and he's too old to change his game. But I really don't see any limitation from him in terms of his technique on the ball or passing technique. Sure he's not silky like zidane / iniesta / modric can be but I think Carlo should push him to take more risks like this during these types of games.

I think Mister is right. Rodrigo has been squawking since they signed Mbappe. Remember how MC is the best team in the world talk from R? Talking about why isn't the R mentioned with BVM in the spanish paper. I don't think Rodrigo is going to handle the decisions that Carlo is going to have to make in the future, most likely have Rodrigo doing so bench time as well. Its difficult to play 3 forwards due to the deficiency on Defense. Plus, Rodrigo hasn't been consistent last season, or over time. Why would I want Lamine and Pedri over Brahim and Guller? Guller has just as many goals and assists, he also leads turkey. It's been one season, the only difference is that Lamine has to play because Barca can't afford someone older for the position. (Trial by fire). I'd rather Guller have a natural progression. Brahim isn't a burst of wind away from injury at all times. Enough said about Pedri. Pedri wouldn't make the squad over literally anyone in our midfield at this point except Modric & Ceballos. He's not better defensively than Tchou, he isn't a two way engine (fede) with apparently unlimited potential and madridismo, he isn't camavinga who can play in every position on the field (Camavinga) and don't even get me started on explaining why Jude is above him in the depth chart. Barca do not have a singular plan in the midfield and it starts with not having a CDM. Until then they are filling the role with multiple players to do a double pivot, whereas Madrid can play a single pivot with two different players or a double with multiple combinations depending on game state.

No matter what happens we should keep Rodrygo. I don't mind Vini leaving.

Valverde is like a younger version of Gerrard ( circa 2004-2005). Football is a game of numbers. You seek to create a numerical or technical advantage in one area of the pitch because you can't be everywhere at once. Unless you're a player like Valverde and Bellingham and Szoboslai who can create a numerical advantage in one area and still appear in another area with little to no exhaustion.
